THERE WERE SHARKS HANGING FROM THE PINE TREES: Conversation with my Mum

This is from an interview I did in 2011 for my zine PHILOSOFLYGIRL. I’ve always been into randomly archiving whānau stories. I also find when I talk to my family about food, we end up discussing the X-Men origin story of just about everything else without the pressure — so it’s always where I start. Shout out to my cousin Lynton Rowling who did this beautiful layout design for me back then, and my Mum Dorma.

(Taken straight from the zine, so zooming in recommended).
